Hey Everyone,
I am very happy to be announcing the second edition of ‘Jazz Night GSA’. I’m especially excited to share that, thanks to a very generous donation by Jane Hotchkiss, we can continue to feature some of the best musicians in the area, free of charge. A HUGE thanks to Jane!
This year's series kicks off with the incredible Michael Hawkins and the Brotherhood group from Richmond, VA. It’s going to be a swinging affair for sure. In November, we’ll continue things with the bassist Chris Brydge, which will feature the music of jazz great, Charles Mingus.
In the new year, I look forward to featuring Duane Smith, Jae Sinnett, and trumpeter Peter Allison. I sincerely hope to see you out at any or all of these performances. Be sure to check the site for the most up-to-date info as I finalize dates. www.justinkauflin.com/shows
The concerts will mostly be held at the Governor’s School for the Arts on Granby Street in the Miner Music Hall, 3rd floor. It is highly recommended that you reserve a spot through the ticket link. Admission is free, but donations are always welcome.
In addition, I’m thrilled to be performing with the Jae Sinnett trio at the end of this month for the Phoebus Jazz Festival. It'll be a reunion of sorts, as I was a member of Jae’s trio for many years. I’m looking forward, and hope to see you out there as well.
Thanks again for your support and hoping all the best for you,
Justin
